Care:
When properly cared for, Ficus microcarpa Ginseng can be kept for years. The plant needs only a modest amount of water, but it needs more in the summer than in the winter. Never allow water to remain standing in the saucer or dish, as it does not like wet feet. Add nutrients on a regular basis. In the summer, this Ficus can also be placed outdoors, preferably in the shade. You may also place it in the living room, but in that case you should make sure that the ball of soil around the roots is kept a bit moist. Like a Bonsai, this plant can also be shaped. Runners and shoots which can spoil its shape can be pruned away without any harm being done. This ensures that the decorative wood component remains clearly visible.
