Bonsai Accessories

Akadama '1028' is a special clay granule soil wich is produced for bonsai. This soil works well for a well balanced humidity in the pot. It is PH-neutral and does not contain many nutrients. Akadama can be used plain or mixed with normal potting soil in a 50% mix. Bonsai should be fertilized frequently and should be transplanted approximately every 3 year. Lift the tree out the pot, cut maximum 30% of the older, thicker roots and plant it back with new soil.

This is specially bonsai Training wire. This colored aluminium wire can be wrapped around the branches and trunk under a 45 degree angle. After applying you can bend the branches in the desired position. Use half the diameter of the branch in wire. After a few months the branch will grow into the wire and should be removed.

Wirecutter (D10)
The wire cutter is designed to cut the bonsai training wire easily. When the wired branch is growing into the wire, this cutter has a special flat top to cut/remove the wire without damaging the bark..

Knobcutter (D5.1)
The knobcutter leaves a hollow wound on the trunk when you cut a thick branch or root. Because of this shape the scar will be minimised.

Leafcutter (D7)
This leafcutter enables you to prune the leaves and tiny twigs of your bonsai. Due to the special tweezers mechanism you can work fast and easy.

Kiryu '1031' is a natural stone granule soil that works for extra drainage in the bonsai pot. Mix it with 50% akadama to use for trees that like dry substrate like pinus, picea and juniperus. Bonsai should be fertilized frequently and should be transplanted approximately every 3 year. Lift the tree out the pot, cut maximum 30% of the older, thicker roots and plant it back in new soil.

Bio Gold is an organic fertilizer for your bonsai. It contains a complete range of nutrients. Because of the shape it is easy to push into the soil. The amount of pellets is equal to the number of centimetres the pot measures on the longest side. This fertilizer solves slowly by every watering. After six weeks you have to replace it. Fertilizing is necessary during the growing season from April to October.

Rake/ Pincet (D4) With this rake you can easily untangle the roots during transplanting your bonsai. Bonsai should be transplanted approximately every 3 year. Lift the tree out the pot, cut maximum 30% of the older, thicker roots and plant it back with new soil.

Concavecutter(D4.1) This conavecutter can be used to cut branches. Due to its special shape the wound will recover and overgrow better. The concavecutter is the best tool to use for your pruning job.

Twigcutter (D3) This twigcutter is shaped to cut the smaller twigs of your bonsai. Because of it's long handles it is possible to prune within the dense ramification.

Rootcutter (D1) These scissors, with it's characteristic design are made for pruning the roots and branches of your bonsai.

Kanuma '1030' is natural soil with a low PH and it is specially suitable for azalea bonsai. This soil works well for a well balanced humidity in the pot and does not contain many nutrients. Kanuma can be used plain. Bonsai should be fertilized frequently and should be transplanted approximately every 3 year. Lift the tree out the pot, cut maximum 30% of the older, thicker roots and plant it back with new soil.
